Day 1
Check in at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg at 18h45 (Flight MS 840 @ 21H45 JHB/Cairo). Please confirm departure hall on arrival at Airport. The group will meet up at the News Café in the Duty Free area. (Flight to Cairo takes about 8 hours, supper and soft drinks are served on flight (no alcohol is served on Egypt Air flights). Please check in no later than 18h45 as these flights are normally overbooked.

Day 2
Coffee/Tea and sandwiches are served on the flight in the early hours of the morning. Arrive at Cairo International Airport at 06h45 + 1 hour, where we will meet our guide who will assist us to collect our luggage and move through customs, from there we will proceed to a luxury bus waiting outside the airport building to take us to the domestic departure hall. Next flight (MS 333) to Hurghada at 11h30. Arrive in Hurghada after a 1 hour and 5 minute flight at around 12h35, collect luggage and move through to another luxury bus which will take us to the New Hurghada Marina where we will board our luxury yacht (20 min bus ride). Lunch will be served on board the Yacht. Late afternoon departure from Hurghada harbor, overnight on board your Yacht.

Day 3
The day’s diving will be in the Hurghada area on reefs like Sha’ab Abu Ramada, Little Giftun and Sha’ab Umm Qamar.  Breakfast will be served after the first dive at about 09h00 followed by a surface interval of 1.5 to 2 hours, a dive briefing and your second dive.

Lunch will be served at around 13h00 with a dive briefing for dive 3 at about 15h00. Afternoon coffee/tea will be served at 16h00. Night dive (optional) at 19h30 and dinner will be served at 21h00 (The selection of dive sites will be made by our most experienced dive guide).

Day 4
Today we are scheduled to dive the wrecks at “Abu Nuhas” namely the “Carnatic”, “Giannis D” and “Chrisoula K” and starts with morning coffee/tea and briefing at 06h30 and the first dive at 07h00. Breakfast will be served at 08h30-09h00 followed by a surface interval of about 1.5 hours, the briefing for dive 2 will be at  about 11h00 with the dive at 11h15. Lunch will be served at about 13h00 followed by a surface interval of about 1.5-2 hours and briefing for dive3.

Afternoon coffee/tea served after dive 3 while we sail across the channel to Sha’ab Ab Mahmud and anchor close to Beacon Rock where we will be doing our night dive and anchor for the night, dinner will be served after the night dive at about 21h00.

Day 5

Morning coffee/tea at 06h30 and our first dive for the day will be on the wreck of The Dunraven, a steam and sail powered vessel used to transport spices and timber which came to peril in March 1876.

Day 6

This day will bring you one of the best dive sites in the world named “Ras Mohamed”, classified as a National Park with a combination of wall diving, coral reefs, overhangs and a wreck, all covered  in one dive (make sure you get up for this one, it is an early morning dive you don’t want to miss!!).
 
The rest of the day will be spend doing another wall dive and then sailing North to go to another special site, the Wreck of the Thistlegorm where we will spend the rest of the day with a late afternoon and night dive on the wreck.

Day 7
Start with an early morning dive on Thistlegorm and sail towards Gubal Island, our next overnight stop offering exceptional diving, snorkeling and night diving. On the way there and weather permitting a dive on the wreck of Rosalie Moller will be possible for the advanced divers on the trip.

Day 8
After an early morning dive on Giftun Island we return back to New Marina Hurghada to start packing for your return to Cairo via luxury coach later in the afternoon.  It is a trip of about 6 hours and is done in convoy.  Arrive in Cairo and book into a luxury hotel (Concord El-Salam – subject to change) on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 9
Spend the day at leisure at the hotel or book yourself on an exciting sight seeing tour to the Egyptian Museum, the Grand Pyramids or Khan El Khalili Bazaar (All day trips are optional extras).

The airport shuttle will arrive at the hotel at about 23h00 to take you to Cairo International Airport for check in on flight MS 839 Cairo/JHB.

Day 10

Flight MS 839 leaves at 02h40 and arrives after breakfast in Johannesburg at 09h40
