Scuba Scene July Newsletter

Good day All.

Now with all the hype and excitement of a very successful Soccer World Cup something of the past, along with biggest part of the coldest winter we experienced in years, the time has come to focus on our beloved sport of scuba diving again.

We decided to let all of you "late bloomers" still capitalize on the "buy one get one free" Open Water Courses by extending the special till the end of August, enabling you and all your friends to join the wonders of the underwater world just in time for the long awaited summer and perhaps upgrade and Qualify at the Scuba Scene Spring Festival from 02 to 05 September.

Yes, that's right, as they say in the classics" the show must go on" so the Scuba Scene Spring Festival will still be continuing in spite of the tragedy that hit the Simply Scuba Dive Camp in June where virtually the whole of Simply Scuba, the Whaler and Dolphin Encounters burnt to the ground. We have however managed to secure alternative accommodation at Coco Rico and the diving will still be done with Simply Scuba, all the other fun events scheduled will also still take place so book now by calling our Travel Desk on 012-368-1473 or on the web as there are only limited accommodation left.

The last of our very successful Red Sea Safaris will depart on the 29th of July and 5th of August, we wish you a Bon Voyage, judging by the feedback from the previous trips great fun was had by all with memories that will certainly last a lifetime and some have already booked for next year.

Project AWARE in partnership with Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup incorporating more than 100 Countries will document every item found beneath the surface in an attempt to save our Oceans from the millions of tons of marine debris dumped in it on a yearly basis, support this cause by joining the cleanup on the 25th of September, no matter where you are or how little you recover you WILL make a difference.

Lastly it's with great sadness that we bid Estelle and Billy from the Menlyn Branch good-bye we wish them the best of luck in their new endeavours, you will be missed.

Until next time, safe diving,
The Scuba Scene Team.
