Just a quick note to welcome you to Scuba Scene. We hope that your diving experience with us will be everything that you expect it to be. For your convenience, we have included some information and request that you bear the following in mind.
- Please ensure that you understand what is included in your course package, and that you are aware of any additional costs that are not included.
- Weights are excluded from the basic equipment package, while food, beverages and transport will be for your own account for the qualifying weekends unless otherwise stated. Entry fees at any local qualifying destinations are also for your own account.
- Course Times: FRIDAY 15:00-19:00, SATURDAY 08:00-17:00 & SUNDAY 08:00-17:00.
- Alternative arrangements regarding course dates and times can be arranged.
- For your convenience, we request that you collect any equipment that you may be purchasing, prior to the start of the course.
- Rental equipment needed for pool sessions should be fitted and collected on the Friday afternoon after the course. It is your responsibility to collect your equipment (BCD, Regulator and Cylinder) prior to your pool sessions / departure for your qualifying weekend and also to return it upon your return. This equipment is your responsibility for the duration of the course / qualifying weekend.
- Reservations for qualifying or casual diving weekends at any of the coastal destinations should be made directly with the Scuba Scene travel desk. A Reservation Request must be completed.
- All course fees must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the training.
- If you have opted for the special package of R 5,499.00 please take note of the following:
1. The travel amount allocated to this package is R 1,860.00. Please check the standard cost of the package for the weekend you wish to book. If this price is higher than the R 1, 860.00 amount included in the special package, then you will need to pay in the additional amount.
2. Should you wish to complete your qualifying dives at Miracle Waters, prior to going on your coastal weekend, then this will cost you an additional amount of R 300-00, excluding entry fees (R 40-00 per person per day). By doing this, you will not forfeit any part of your coastal weekend as included in the special package.
3. Hard Gear (BCD, Regulator & Cylinder) is included free of charge for the QUALIFYING WEEKEND ONLY. Therefore, if you are qualifying at Miracle Waters prior to your coastal weekend, then your equipment will be included for Miracle Waters. You will however need to pay the appropriate equipment rental amount (usually R 350-00 per set) for your coastal weekend, as you will then be considered a casual diver and no longer a student diver.
2. Should you wish to complete your qualifying dives at Miracle Waters, prior to going on your coastal weekend, then this will cost you an additional amount of R 300-00, excluding entry fees (R 40-00 per person per day). By doing this, you will not forfeit any part of your coastal weekend as included in the special package.

PLEASE NOTE
- You need to collect your PADI Crew Pack at least three days prior to the start of the course as you are required to complete a medical questionnaire and arrange for a medical examination to be conducted (if necessary) prior to the commencement of the course.
- Students need to bring one ID photo along on the first day of the course, as well as own stationery.
- The Knowledge Reviews on pages 73 & 74 of the PADI training manual need to be completed prior to the commencement of the course.
- Additional information relating to travel and coastal weekends is available, you may request this from any of our staff members.
