Terms and Conditions
Bookings
All tours, accommodation, transfers, flights, and activities or excursions are subject to availability as at the time deposits are received, notwithstanding the fact that at the time of request, availability may have been available and confirmed.
Prices quoted, unless otherwise specifically notified in writing, are as per the standard tour itinerary, based on standard accommodation and economy class airfares, and are subject to change at the sole discretion of Scuba Scene Travel. Any upgrades, single supplements, and variations will incur additional charges.
Prices are subject to any increases in air fares, land arrangements, or any other costs that may affect the tour price. All quotes are subject to any increases and costs, which may arise, prior to final departure date.
Any extensions, additions, upgrades, variations or deviations from the standard itinerary may incur supplementary charges. These are also payable as per payment schedule below.
Should any of the resorts, operators, or principles quote Scuba Scene Travel in any other currency, other than SA Rands, then the rate quoted will exclude the forex commission of 0.75% of the total tour price, with a minimum amount payable of R150.00 per person, and a maximum of R300.00 per person.
Rates and quotes do not include any visa / border charges / passport costs or any air ticket / passport / document courier / delivery charges, or any airport departure taxes, airline fuel or any other levies and taxes that may be implemented, prior to departure.
These rates are subject to fluctuation and final cost will be calculated as at the date of receipt of full payment.
Rates and quotes do not include any VAT, or any sales taxes, that may be payable on the tour, or any portion thereof, in South Africa, or any country included on the itinerary, that imposes them.
All payments for the tour must be made in full prior to departure, and no tickets or travel documents will be issued until all these payments have been received.
Payment
A minimum 50% non-refundable, non transferable, deposit of total tour price (including any additional charges, including equipment rental, additional excursions, etc) is required to secure a booking. No reservation request can be considered booked until such deposit is received.
Deposits are for the persons and specific original booking made. Should numbers or accommodation subsequently be reduced, then any deposits held for the cancelled persons and accommodation will be forfeited. Under no circumstances can the deposit held be utilized against the amended, revised booking.
A further minimum payment of 25% is payable 60 days prior to departure, and full balance 30 days prior to departure.
Should payments not be received as per this schedule, the booking will automatically be deemed cancelled, with forfeiture of all amounts paid. All bookings, irrespective of when made, must be paid in full 30 days prior to tour departure date.
All prices are based on a minimum of 2 persons sharing accommodation. Single supplements will be applicable.
Cancellation & refund policy
Should notice be given by the client of his / her intention to cancel, refunds will be given as set out below. Refunds will only be considered if all payments were received according to the payment schedule above.
Refunds will be made as follows - up until 60 days prior to departure – refund of all amounts paid except for cancellation fee of 50% of total tour price.
Between 59 days & 45 days prior to departure – refund of all amounts paid except for cancellation fee of 75% of total tour price.
Between 44 days & 31 days prior to departure – refund of all amounts paid except for cancellation fee of 90% of total tour price.
No refunds whatsoever will be given for any cancellation received less than 30 days prior to departure. The client must give written notice of his / her intention to cancel.
Unused Services / Facilities.
The rates quoted for the tour/s are based on prepaid rates, and as such no refunds for unused services and / or facilities can be entertained, for any reason whatsoever, including those suffered / incurred as a result of inclement weather, missed connections, illness, injury, or death.
It’s the client’s responsibility to ensure that they have adequate travel insurance.
Fine Print
Scuba Scene (PTY) Ltd. acts as a booking agent only for various operators, and as such is not liable for any loss or damage to, property, life or person, for any reason whatsoever. The client by his booking indemnifies Scuba Scene Travel from any such claims.
Further Scuba Scene (PTY) Ltd. is not liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of any airline delays, missed connections, accommodation substitutions, non. performance, negligence, act of God, inclement weather, civil unrest, or omissions of any of the resorts, operators or agents, or any additional costs suffered as a result of
these events
All schedules, costs, tour arrangements, and conditions are subject to change, without any recourse whatsoever, at the sole discretion of the Scuba Scene (PTY) Ltd. Or its travel agent/s.
Should the accommodation booked not be available for any reason whatsoever, the Scuba Scene Travel Agent reserves the right to book alternative accommodation of a similar standard.
Booking on tours shall constitute acceptance of these conditions.
